Mr Kwek Leng Peck has been appointed by the City Developments Limited (CDL) Board as a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director and Vice Chairman, effective 1 June 2026. He will also serve as a member of CDL’s Nominating and Remuneration Committee.

Mr Kwek brings decades of experience in property investment and development, hotel operations, trading, manufacturing, corporate finance, and management.

As a senior member of the Kwek family, he possesses a deep understanding of the CDL heritage, values and long-term vision, which have guided its transformation from a Singapore property developer into a leading global real estate group.

He previously served on the CDL Board from 1987 to 2020 (a tenure of 33 years), during which he played a significant role in CDL’s growth and development. He was also a director of Millennium & Copthorne Hotels Limited from 1995 to 2020.

Mr Kwek continues to hold several senior positions across Hong Leong Group. They are: 

CDL also announced the resignation of Mr Daniel Desbaillets as an Independent, Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 June 2026.

The insights Leng Peck brings to the Board will be invaluable to our ongoing strategic review exercise as the Company continues to refine its strategy, priorities and initiatives. As such, the Company expects to only unveil these outcomes in Q3 2026,” he said. “I would also like to thank Daniel for his service to the Company and wish him well in his future endeavours.”

Mr Kwek’s return reflects his firm commitment to CDL, as the Board draws on his extensive institutional knowledge to advance CDL's strategic priorities. Mr Kwek’s deep familiarity with the Group’s businesses and operations will enable him to provide strong support to the Executive Chairman, contribute to key strategic initiatives, and add meaningful value in his role as Vice Chairman.
