Inspired by a renowned suburb of Kyoto, Sagano offers an authentic Japanese dining experience defined by bamboo and wood design elements, presenting a modern interpretation of traditional Kyoto aesthetics that is both simple and elegant

A refreshed line-up of dining experiences is now available at New World Millennium Hong Kong Hotel, inviting guests to journey from nourishing Japanese breakfasts and refined Cantonese lunches to playful afternoon teas and indulgent seafood buffets — all under one roof.

To start the day, Sagano introduces a traditional Japanese breakfast set that recreates the warmth of a home-style morning meal with refined culinary execution. With more than three decades of heritage in authentic Japanese cuisine, the restaurant presents a thoughtfully curated menu that balances comfort and precision.

The breakfast features over 15 dishes, including homemade appetisers such as fried beef with burdock, crabmeat with vinegar sauce and pan-fried egg roll, alongside grilled mackerel, stewed vegetables, steamed Niigata Koshihikari rice and natto, Japan’s iconic fermented soybean dish known for its rich umami profile. Guests seeking a more indulgent option may upgrade to minced fatty tuna with spring onion rice.

Overlooking the spectacular Victoria Harbour, Tao Li is known for its refined dim sum and authentic Cantonese cuisine, where traditional flavours are elevated with elegant presentation. Led by Executive Chinese Chef Cheuk Man Chung, the restaurant offers a contemporary interpretation of Cantonese classics using premium seasonal ingredients.

Tao Li now presents an “All-you-can-eat Dim Sum” weekday set lunch, featuring a rotating selection of 30 Cantonese delicacies. The menu spans dim sum, vegetables, rice and noodle dishes, as well as desserts, offering a comprehensive and satisfying yum cha experience that encourages guests to sample a wide variety of flavours.

The Lounge offers an elegant and inviting space for fine wines, light bites and indulgent afternoon moments. Bathed in natural light through its dramatic two-storey floor-to-ceiling windows, the venue creates a calm and sophisticated atmosphere ideal for relaxed dining.

Afternoons take on a playful twist with the new Fruitylicious Afternoon Tea Set, created by Executive Pastry Chef Daniel Law and his team. The experience reimagines fruit-based desserts and savoury bites, from coconut-shaped dacquoise and lychee-inspired financiers to smiley-faced mousse cakes. Premium ingredients such as lobster, foie gras and gravlax salmon add depth and balance to the creative presentation.

Café East brings the energy of a vibrant market-style dining destination, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets alongside an extensive à la carte selection. Open kitchens and live cooking stations showcase a wide range of Western and Asian specialities prepared with fresh ingredients.

For dinner, Café East presents a seafood-focused buffet featuring highlights such as steamed lobster with garlic, Thai-style lemongrass jumbo clam, fried giant freshwater prawns with soya sauce and lobster tom yum kung. The experience concludes with indulgent desserts including banana chocolate mousse, peach parfait and green tea opera, complemented by thoughtful touches such as celebratory birthday offerings for larger groups.

The four dining experiences at New World Millennium Hong Kong Hotel reflect the hotel’s culinary diversity from comforting Japanese breakfasts and refined dim sum lunches to imaginative afternoon teas and lavish seafood feasts — celebrating the simple pleasure of slowing down and enjoying good food.
