There was a touch of magic at Millennium Hotel Glasgow when Finnie the Unicorn, the official mascot of the 2026 Commonwealth Games, checked in for a memorable stay.

Glasgow welcomed athletes from across the Commonwealth during the Games in July and August, with Millennium Hotel Glasgow playing its part as the host venue for an auxiliary service operated by UK Anti-Doping. Amid the excitement, Finnie arrived in the city ready to join the action and made the hotel his home along the way.

Fresh off the train at Glasgow Queen Street, Finnie made his way to the hotel, where Alistair from the hotel team gave him a warm welcome and checked him in as an honorary member of Team Millennium.

Finnie settled into a room on the first floor, conveniently close to the team and the action. At breakfast, his healthy appetite was also well catered for, with cereal proving to be a fitting choice for the health-conscious unicorn.

When it was time for his official mascot duties, Finnie proudly took his place beside the Games banner, posing for photos and bringing some extra cheer to the occasion.

From his arrival in Glasgow to his stay at Millennium Hotel Glasgow, Finnie’s visit was certainly one to remember and a magical addition to Team Millennium.
